Build a safe, supportive workplace by understanding how trauma impacts employees, clients, and communities. Learn practical tools to recognize trauma responses, support healing, and create policies and protocols that promote psychological safety. Develop self-care systems for staff and leadership, and equip teams to manage vicarious trauma and burnout.
Explore intersectionality as a foundation for equity work. Analyze how overlapping identities and systemic injustices affect organizational outcomes. Gain hands-on skills to address bias, microaggressions, and power dynamics, and create environments where diverse voices, including those marginalized by race, sexuality, gender, or ability, are affirmed and centered in decision-making.
Navigate international and U.S. laws as they relate to sexual and reproductive rights. Learn about workplace accommodations for privacy, reproductive health, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Examine frameworks for informed consent, bodily autonomy, and fostering affirming environments in your organization—ensuring compliance with best practices and legal protections.
Review basic immigration rights, humanitarian protections, and the intersection with human rights law. Acquire skills to advocate for and support immigrants, refugees, and families affected by displacement, detention, or legal proceedings. Role-play advocacy scenarios and develop community networks that respond to trauma and reduce barriers for immigrant populations.
Learn ways to promote body autonomy and dignity for staff, clients, and service recipients. Address body-based bias, ableism, and cultural stigma—building policies and communication practices that honor diverse experiences, physical realities, and basic rights. Foster safe environments for conversations about embodiment, desire, and holistic health.
Deepen collective understanding of oppression, privilege, and liberation using real-world policy and organizing examples. Engage in interactive dialogues to design anti-oppression interventions, equitable workplace systems, and advocacy campaigns. Learn how to center survivor, community, and lived-experience voices in every aspect of justice work.
